The Windmill Inn dates back to the 17th Century and was originally a row of cottages. There is not much information available to it's history but it is believed that the cottages where occupied by workers in the Cloth Trade, a major industry in Beverley at that time. However, the poulation in Beverley began to decline and so with it the Cloth Trade. By the late 17th Century Beverley started to prosper again but the cloth trade didn't. It was around this time that the cottages where sold and the property developed into a Free House. Probably serving the new population of Millers, Skinners and Tanners who made Beverley the Market Town that it is best known for. Today some 400 years after, the Windmill Inn is still a Free House serving fine beers, lagers wines and spirits. We have 19 Bed and Breakfast Rooms all en-Suite, these rooms are situated away from the main building enabling you to enjoy a quiet time whilst staying with us.
